Andrew Mann
is an extraordinary and exceptionally gifted Irish singer and writer who has been performing professionally around Ireland and Europe for the last six years. After writing literally hundreds of songs over the last ten years he has been lucky enough to perform nationwide tours in Ireland, Austria, France and Spain and has also had the pleasure of rubbing shoulders with New York’s industry glitterati, doing many show case gigs in the big apple. He has earned a name for himself on the Irish music scene as someone with a powerful and soulful voice and armed with an intense magnetic set he never disappoints. After trips back and forth to London to play support slots for the new up and comings, he says his finest moment was singing in Oxford Streets “100 Club” and Soho’s “Ronnie Scotts”.
Propelled by the pure joy and satisfaction of creating and performing music he approached his bank manager in the middle of 2007 and started independently recording his debut album which is provisional titled "Hidden In Plain Sight”. At present Andrew is putting the finishing touches to this ten track collection and plans release it June 2009. Production has been overseen by Larry Hogan and Mark Reddy. Larry has worked with the likes of Rick Danko (from The Band), Van Morrison, Shane McGowan, The Devlins and Kila cutting his teeth in the production end of the business. Over the last six years Andrew has built up a huge fan base in Ireland and has made a legion of contacts and friends within the Irish and international music scene.
2009 is set to be a big year for Andrew Mann. Armed with his debut Album filled with heartfelt and deeply personal acoustic rock songs and an obvious fire in his belly, Andrew Mann is ready to hit the road and share his songs with the world. With people like Bob Dillon, Tom Waits and Ryan Adams as his inspiration all Andrew needs is to be in the right place at the right time.
